Selecting the right pressure scan valve type depends on the test environment, 

with systems tailored to static vs. dynamic applications, and low vs. high pressure ranges.  


Static pressure scan valves (sampling rate <10Hz) excel in steady-state scenarios like pipeline pressure monitoring. 

Their simplified design reduces cost by 30% compared to dynamic models, making them ideal for industrial process control.

 A water treatment plant saved 40% on equipment costs by using static valves for their 24/7 pressure logging—no need for high-speed sampling here.  


Dynamic valves (sampling rate >100Hz) are critical for transient tests, such as engine combustion pressure spikes.

Their fast response (≤1ms) captures pressure fluctuations that static valves miss. 

In a diesel engine test, a dynamic valve recorded a 500kPa pressure peak within 2ms, while a static valve averaged the data, masking the critical transient event.  


High-pressure systems (≥10MPa) require reinforced manifolds and seal materials like Inconel, 

whereas low-pressure valves (<1MPa) use aluminum manifolds for weight savings.

 A hydraulic testing lab found that using a high-pressure valve (rated 30MPa) in a 5MPa

 application caused unnecessary energy consumption—opting for a 10MPa model cut power use by 15%.  


Matching valve type to scenario avoids over-engineering: static for steady flow, dynamic for transients, and pressure-rated models for specific ranges.
